Carrie Schwab-Pomerantz is a chip off the old block, following in her famous dad’s footsteps by taking on a role as a champion of personal finance for small investors.
The new version of SchwabMoneyWise.com gives Schwab-Pomerantz more prominent placement on the site. Her weekly “Ask Carrie” column has a featured spot on the home page as it did previously, but the site now also has a button on the main navigation menu of the website where investors can read her column.
“People visiting SchwabMoneyWise.com will find advice that’s relevant to their current life-stage, whether it’s getting a first job, buying a home, getting married, or planning for retirement,” Schwab-Pomerantz says in a press release. “In redesigning the site, our goal was to create a resource that would better help people make smart choices with their money.”
Schwab-Pomerantz serves as president of Charles Schwab Foundation, a private, nonprofit organization funded by The Charles Schwab Corporation, whose mission is to create positive change through financial education, philanthropy, and volunteerism. A graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, with a bachelor's degree in political science, Schwab-Pomerantz earned an MBA from George Washington University and she holds a Certified Financial Planner™ certificate, as well as FINRA Series 7, 63 and 8 registrations.
