Two researchers on Wednesday released an application, called iPhone Tracker, that reportedly pulls data from a hidden location history database on Apple iPones  The app plots your locations on a map and shows your phone's travels over the past year.

 

The revalation crystallized concerns about how technology can infringe on your right privacy and is being marketed to companies unbeknownst to you. Yesterday, the fallout came as the scandal spread to engulf Google.

 

The Wall Street Journal reported that Android smartphones also regularly transmit their location back to Google.


Minnessota Senator Al Franken dashed off a letter to Apple CEO Steve Jobs asking nine pointed questions.
