In which month of the year is it best to invest?
Based on the average performance of seven core asset classes over the past 37 years, Craig Israelsen, PhD., demonstrates whether one month of the year is better to invest than others. In addition to individual asset classes, he reviews the average performance of a multi-asset portfolio during each month of the year to see if it matters to advisors investing in broadly diversified portfolios and which month is best.
More importantly, Craig reviews which month led to the best performance for broadly diversified portfolios, before and after adjusting for inflation, over the past 19 years, as well as an analysis determining the best month to rebalance.
