Class Description: How To Stay The Course, Professional Education Class
What is the greatest risk to a retiree’s portfolio? Stock market volatility? Poor bond returns? Cash returns near zero? Or is the greatest risk fear? The inability to visualize long-term causes clients to bail out of a well-designed retirement portfolio is often cited as the biggest risk to investor success.
This class provides a visual demonstration of retirement portfolio survival using three-dimensional multi-color graphics. More than cool, it is a quick way to teach clients the power of staying the course for 25 years -- through the good and bad times.
This graphical technique allows a retiree to understand the impact of:
• raising or lowering the annual withdrawal rate on the portfolio balance 25 years later
• changing the portfolio’s asset allocation on the final account value
Attendees gain a deeper understanding of retirement portfolio durability and what happens when a retiree withdraws no more than 5% per year.

Not great. He says that the approach never runs out of money, but a unitrust approach never will.
