With the Secure Act remaining in limbo for the time being, it is tricky to be able to effectively plan for client's futures but you have done a good job with couching your answers in terms of both scenarios. Soon there will be a resolution one way or the other. Of course, that resolution may be only temporary. I think the discussion of the interplay between the 199A deduction and Roth conversions is an important topic
