Flexibility for many levels of client needs
The more I learn about this product the more I enjoy working with it. It has several layers that can build out a very complex plan but also allows you the flexibility to create simplified guidelines as well. The user forum is a great resource when wanting to find a way to represent a truly complex situation.
User Review
The Good
I like the flexibility of this product. Created as a cash flow intensive planning tool, it can be adjusted for client need. Reports are clean and easy to understand.
The Bad
I've never used this software for any kind of asset allocation, I tend to look elswehere for that. And though the taxes are comprehensive, with the mutiple data points and assumptions that need to be made, i rarely use these reports in client presentations and instead use them as very GENERAL guidelines. I also find it would be nice for them to pre-populate state tax information as well as update.
The Bottom Line
Money Tree's Golden years can be as complicated or as simple as you need for a particular client's situation and is user friendly
