Advent Axys is stuck in the past
It seems like Advent doesn't want its current Axys customers to upgrade to APX, they don't offer any deals and it's a significant jump in price. Once you factor in how long the data conversion takes, it doesn't seem to make sense to stay with Advent as a company.

Outdated flat files, attempting to upgrade to APX makes other solutions look much more attractive.
The Bottom Line
Advent Axys should be avoided unless your firm already uses it. If your firm already uses it, I would look at getting a system that can integrate with other programs and that doesn't use flat files.
