Like all systems, it has its idiosyncrasies, but overall still a good solution.

The Good
Advent's APX is a great portfolio management software system.
The Bad
The CRM side of APX is the weaker of the two sides. It is not currently as robust or flexible as other CRM's. Expensive for smaller shops.
The Bottom Line
It is a good "overall" solution because of the integration of the CRM and the portfolio management software into one system.
