Great for Building DFA Portfolios
The 2.0 release of the Returns Program brought it into the big leagues of analytical investment software.
User Review
The Good
It is free and well supported by DFA via webinars and online videos. It automatically updates its data on a monthly basis and generates consistent professional looking report pages.
The Bad
It only automatically downloads DFA fund data and benchmark data. I'd love to have an automatic monthly data feed for outside funds. They do have the ability to "import" outside fund data but that leaves the user either spending too much time formatting data before the import or paying a high price for preformatted data from Morningstar.
The Bottom Line
This is a "must use" analytical tool for anyone building portfolios with DFA funds. I would love for this tool to double as a proposal generator but the lack of access to outside fund data prohibits it from serving this purpose.
