Dodd-Frank Facing Serious Congressional Budget Hurdles Hot

Reps. Spencer Bachus and Randy Neugebauer claim they want to give the regulators enough money to carry out their responsibilities but they also want to "ensure that mandates are not overly burdensome or wasteful of taxpayer money."

In light of Republican opposition to Dodd-Frank in the first place, it remains to be seen whether a satisfactory budget request will be enough to get the SEC and other agencies the added funding they say they need.
