Shenkman and his wife Patti, who has multiple sclerosis, will be driving from New Jersey to Florida over the next few weeks in a big RV and stopping at various points to run seminars and online presentations for people living with MS, Parkinson's, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and other long-term conditions -- along with the advisors who are or could be making their financial lives better.

 

Continuing education credits are possible for advisors who participate, and of course attendance is a great way to meet Shenkman and pick his world-class brain.

 

But the real opportunity here is to see whether an advisory firm with a little spare capacity and a philanthropic urge couldn't apply Shenkman's example to help underserved people in their own community. 

 

Maybe those underserved markets could be impoverished retirees. Or military families. Single moms. Volunteer firefighters, ambulance drivers, schoolteachers. Just pick a niche and the rest takes care of itself.

A Strategically Focused CE Curriculum

  • needs financial counseling skills
  • wants the Certified Financial Counselor™ designation 
  • is building a brand as a thought leader locally or in a niche
  • wants the facts when bad news breaks
  • wants CE aligned with a content marketing system
  • wants 24/7 access to CE on-demand
  • insists on objective evidenced-based tax and investment planning analysis
