Socialware Lands $3 Million To “Put Social Networks To Work”

Socialware, which has gotten off to a quick start with broker dealers in providing social compliance, says it landed $3 million in additional funding.

TechCrunch, which does not normally cover the advisor tech market, actually ran a story about the new funding.

While most people in advisor business don't realize it--including BDs buying social compliance software--Socialware is powering the offerings behind Live Office and Smarsh.

Socialware has gotten off to a fast start. Cambridge Investment Research, the first independent BD to enable social media marketing, uses Socialware for compliance.

The only rival I've seen is Actiance, which makes an app called Socialite.
