An extreme geek today was making a case for the return of BlackBerry. This is a guy who carries around a Samsung Galaxy Note as well as a BlackBerry Playbook and who has spent the last two decades as a programmer and Web developer.
BlackBerry’s QNX operating system was supposed to be launched months ago but is now expected to be released January 30, 2013.
The award-winning QNX CAR Application Platform is running in 20 million vehicles, bridging telecommunications and informatics in apps such as GPS systems.
The QNX OS for smartphones is supposed to be amazing.
The new BlackBerry phones will supposedly allow you to digitally separate your professional life from your personal life, using two different platforms to create a real divide. It’s also expected to move BlackBerry’s famed BBM texting system into a video platform.
The question is, even if QNX can do all that’s expected, can BlackBerry come back?
Would you ever buy another BlackBerry? Would you never buy another BlackBerry?
