You Can Still Catch Up And Earn The Certified Financial Counselor™ Certificate By September 29
Financial Counseling Certification Even if you missed the first classes of the Certified Financial Counselor™ course and certification program, you can still earn the certification and digital badge by September 29, 2021.

The first class, an overview of the 12-class course, is free to try even if you are not a member of A4A ($120/year).

A4A members:  log in and receive CFP Board and IWI CE credit 24/7 for the first five classes. Successfully completing the quizzes after each class earns CFP Board and IWI CE credit.

If you are CPA, you can earn the Certified Financial Counselor designation by replaying the courses. But you will not receive CPE credit on replays. You will get CPA CPE credit on the upcoming live classes, however.

  

Class 5: Counseling Strategies And Techniques (1 Credit)

This class teaches how to employ financial counseling strategies and techniques with clients, particularly those who are the most emotional. How to move clients past fear, greed, anger and other emotions and how to maximize your influence as a professional to help clients make better decisions.  We will cover the most important counseling skills (building blocks), as well as Strategic Emotional Communication, which we will apply to client examples.
