One analyst in this story says the eight-month-old Galaxy Nexus has a terrible camera, iffy screen, and LTE support on just a single carrier, while the other says buying into Google's Nexus program guarantees you a stock, untainted Android user experience and the best chance of seeing your device upgraded with future versions of the mobile OS. Lists of apps abound, but this one happens to be unusual. It includes an app to turn your Android into a metal detector, send a text to your phone after you've misplaced to change from your ring from silent loud,  schedule a fake phone call to yourself to pull you out of a meeting, real time local traffic reports....You get the idea.   The post is on a site I've never heard of but offers numerous apps I've never heard of.  

I haven’t followed the developing field of augmented reality but a post about Nokia City Lens going to beta test caught my eye. It’s further evidence that Microsoft is on the comeback trail and could start challenging Apple and Google in smartphones and tablets.
