During Verizon's conference call discussing its Q2 2012 financial performance, CFO Fran Shammo let some information slip out about the next iPhone launch.

During the company's quarterly conference call today, Shimano made a vague reference to a major phone the carrier expects to launch in the fourth quarter.

The next iPhone is widely believed to feature a bigger display and the ability to tap into the faster 4G LTE network, says CNET.
