Mark J. Higgins, CFA, CFP®
Author and Founder of the Enlightened Investor, LLC
Mark Higgins is an accomplished author and financial historian. His research uses financial history to help investors contextualize current events and forecast potential consequences. Prior to founding The Enlightened Investor, Mark served as an investment consultant for more than 12 years. In this role, he advised the trustees of large institutional investors such as endowments, pension plans, and corporate plans. In aggregate, the trustees of these institutions had fiduciary responsibility for more than $60 billion.
Mark graduated from Georgetown University Phi Beta Kappa and Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor's degree in English and Psychology. He received MBA from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia. Mark is a CFA charterholder and CFP® practitioner.
