Commerce Secretary Cites Progress In Efforts To Expand Trade With China

Commerce Secretary Gary Locke tells the Wall Street Journal that U.S. officials are tracking progress in several areas regarding trade with China, from removing discriminatory technology policies to dismantling redundant regulation.
There has even been “movement” on one of the biggest issues, allowing the Chinese currency to appreciate, although Locke says “China needs to do more.” He appeals to other countries to speak up on Chinese trade issues as well.
