I feel the same way Andrew. It may even replace hootsuite etc for me.
Another great feature of the lists is that you can list someone, without actually following them. For example, I didn't follow many news outlets as they update frequently, and clutter up the stream of tweets I wanted to see. Now I can create a news list, and list up to 500 of them and only see them when I want to.
