Bob, thank you for some of the valuable tips today, including the micro Roth conversion idea, given the huge drop in one's IRA, this is a perfect time to carve out a portion of that Traditional IRA and convert to Roth, since you are going to not only have all of that tax free gain within the Roth (once the market recovers) but you also have less taxes on the converted amount since it has been artificially (but temporarily) reduce in dollar amount. Sounds like a home run.
