It was the worst six weeks in modern financial history and the next six weeks will be still worse.

Advisors4Advisors (A4A) is sponsoring a professional education class for financial advisors about the CARES Act, taught by Robert Keebler, CPA/PFS at a live class today, Thursday, April 2, 2020, at 4 ET. The webinar is free with A4A membership, which costs $10 a month. As with all A4A classes, it will be available for replay and CE credit for CFPs about an hour after the session concludes.

I previewed Bob’s presentation yesterday and it’s his best work ever. Coincidentally, just before hearing what Bob would have to say about the CARES Act, a local CPA gave me a presentation about the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP). He had some of the facts but no presentation slides, script or illustrations.

IIn contrast, Mr. Keebler gives professionals the details they need now about the new federal regulations implementing PPP. Bob begins this class by giving practitioners an overview of the financial aid for business owners in the CARES Act and legislation that preceded it that provides emergency loans and other relief for businesses. Although PPP is justifiably sucking up all of the attention right now, it is only one provision in the CARES Act.

Bob Keebler collaborates with me to create a weekly financial planning update. Yesterday the alert below about the Paycheck Protection Program was emailed to business owners. The first third of the alert is shown here. The weekly feed costs $2400 a year.

Bob and I are creating a 15-minute slide FINRA-reviewed slide presentation about PPP, CARES and other business owner relief. The PowerPoint with a script and graphics will be available next week and you can sign up for it here for $99.
