Description

Most "balanced" funds are not broadly diversified because they are based on an outdated model which typically employs only two assets: U.S. large stocks and U.S. bonds. News flash: it's not 1959 anymore and we can do better.

In this webinar, you'll learn:

  • Differences in performance of major asset classes over the past 41 years
  • Diversifying for outperformance and better risk management
  • Why wide diversification is even more important in volatile markets
  • Multiple mainstream asset classes to consider in a diversified portfolio

Guest speaker Craig L. Israelsen, Ph.D. is an associate professor at Brigham Young University and one of the foremost academics in the field of indexes and passive investing. He is a principal at Target Date Analytics, designer of the 7Twelve Portfolio, and author of “7Twelve: A Diversified Investment Portfolio with a Plan.”

Craig is unusually easy to understand coming from academia. This seminar was very useful, especially in the area of withdrawal planning.

One of the BEST webinars I have ever attended. I kinda knew some of this (from the work of Rodger Gibson) but definately NOT to the extent that seeing Craig's long-term research up close and personal. This will make me really re-think my client asset allocation strategies!
