"Google TV is sinking,"  according to TechCrunch. It's hurting Logitech, which slashed the price of Google TV's hardware, Revue, from $250 to $99. But despite Google TV's failure, Google remains the dominant force for advisors to reckon with on the Web.   The list of Google's failures is pretty long, and it's getting longer with bad news about Google TV.    Other infamous Google flops include, Buzz, Wave, and Video.   It remains to be seen is Google can get businesses to use Google Apps in a big way and whether Google+ will be a hit at social networking.

The Seattle-based startup wants to be the love child of StockTwits and Yahoo! Finance — or, put another way, Bloomberg for the people, by the people.   Users can also customize their Stocial stock platform to view news and trends for the overall market, or for specific stocks, keep watch on those stocks, or create circles of experts and follow top investors on Twitter and Stocial, as well as experience news and tweets in realtime or by top items, according to TechCrunch.  

If you expect to use the Internet to communicate with clients and prospects, a basic task you need to master is how to embed a YouTube video.   After I touched on this topic a few days ago when I wrote about Slidecasting, I thought I might post about how to embed a video on your website. But I figured the topic might be too basic and that you could learn how to do this by going to YouTube.   Sure enough, I saw a post today on PC World entitled, How to Embed a YouTube Video.   You really do need to know how to do this.

When Google+ first launched, most people saw it, correctly, as a competitor to Facebook. But as you try Google's social network, you realize that it has a lot in common with Twitter, too. That versatility could be Google's strength, but it could be its downfall, too. Is Google+ trying to do too much?   "I hope that, as Google+ rolls out to hundreds of millions of new users," says a PCWorld posting, "they'll see those distinct ways of communicating as powerful. But I fear that for many, it may just be confusing."
