With New Cloud Storage Service, The Entire Cloud Is Your Hard Drive For Only $10 Per Month

The idea of using the cloud to store files or sync files between devices is not new. Dropbox, SkyDrive, Google Docs, Amazon and countless others have been offering online storage for some time.

But a newcomer to the field, Bitcasa sounds, "blows away its competitors," reports TechCrunch.

With Bitcasa. "the cloud is your hard drive, and your actual hard drive is just the cache."

For advisors, a document management system with a library of common advisor workflows is much more important.

Bitcasa sounds promising but if it doesn't include advisor workflows for managing documents or an easy facility to automate document management workflows, I'm not sure it's all that useful to inpendendent advisors.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Still, it looks interesting. Maybe not for an advisory business, but I can't tell you how many drives I've had crash, including backup drives. Thank God for Mozy, but this has appeal as a way to simplify and consolidate digital life. Might be a great service for us to let our clients know about.
