Google Spent More On Lobbyists In 2010 Than Yahoo, Facebook & Apple Combined

Google dropped $5.16 million on lobbyists in 2010, a 29% increase over the $4 million the company spent in 2009.

What susprises me is that Facebook spent so much less, even though it has been in the news so much more because of privacy issues.

 

While $5 million can buy you some influence on Capitol Hill, it still represents a fraction of what many other companies spend on lobbying--like the $94 million spent by General Electric.
