Google Vows To Crack Down Search Spam--Automated Blogs And Content Farms

The search giant vows to renew its crackdown on content farms in an effort to reduce spammy search results.

In a blog post, a Google engineer says it will step up its effort to fight content that is low quality but deisgned to produce good search results.

 

Writing keyword-dense content helps you search results. But Google has improved its algorithm to steer away from spammy sites in search results and now says it's going to do more.

 

With Demand Media, perhaps the biggest of all content farms, reportedly days away from an IPO, Silicon Alley Insider says, "Google just introduced lots of fear and uncertainty into the minds of any potential Demand investors."
