Hotmail Data Loss Reveals Cloud Trust Issues

Hot on the heels of what was possibly the first major cloud data leak a few weeks ago, as the new year got underway Microsoft followed up by appearing to wipe the e-mails of a significant number of Hotmail users.

Microsoft claims to have fixed the problem and restored the e-mails, but it's been a worrisome few days for many users, PC World reports.



An A4A member posted a comment yesterday indicating he lost his Hotmail data yesterday.


I'm not sure why any advisor would trust any of the web-based email giants--Google, Yahoo, or Hotmail--with email without having a regular backup.
