In a post entitled, "The Rise of Mobile Search Engine Optimization," Read Write Web points out that mobile search is growing at a tremendous pace and will overtake desktop search in the next decade. Should advisors be concerned?
Investors may indeed find an advisory firm via search engines. Yes. But I don't think they are likely to be doing that research on their smartphones.
So it is wise to optimize your site, and optimizing it for local listings in search results makes total sense. But I don't think advisors need to worry yet about people doing that research on their phones.
