Facebook Brings Facial Recognition To Photo Tagging And Has A Great Day Yesterday

Facebook has an algorithm to suggest the tags you can use on your friends' photos. It's going to make it much easier to tag photos.

This Website Is For Financial Professionals Only

Right now, to tag a photo with a person's name on Facebook, you have to manually enter the person's name. The new algorithm, says Mashable, is going to automatically suggest who users should tag in photos based on facial recognition technology.

With more than 500 million users, Facebook is the most influential site on the Internet. Yesterday, Facebook's 26 year-old founder, Mark Zuckerberg was named Person of the Year by Time and Facebook was name the Best Employer of 2010 by Glassdoor.com

In addition, Silicon Alley Insider reported yesterday that Google is "terrified of Facebook," and having a hard time getting its act together to do anything about it.
