Windows 7 has been a huge success for Microsoft, especially compared with release of Vista. But should you load Service Pack 1, a major new update?
"Service Packs" from Microsoft fix bugs and give you some new features and have been released on previous operating systems.
Perhaps the most famous was Service Pack 2 on Windows XP, which was essentially an upgrade of XP.
Windows SP 1 is said to be no big deal, and many experts are suggesting you wait a few months to install it. It reportedly contains almost no new features of any consequence and there is no rush to get it because it could actually cause new problems for you.
