AssetBook, which I founded 10 years ago, provides performance reporting for about 200 RIAs, but I can count on one hand the number of firms publishing their performance numbers. Why? Because they are not selling performance.
Earlier this week, two well-known industry firms proposed creating a new performance reporting standard for financial advisors. The proposal was from BrightScope and The Spaulding Group.
