This Website Is For Financial Professionals Only

TD Ameritrade contributed $250,000 and will match other contributions totaling another $250,000. A website has been set up to facilitate personal contributions and also to ensure those contributions will be matched.

Pershing LLC announced it will contribute $1 million to the American Red Cross.

The Financial Planning Association (FPA) has announced it stands ready to help chapters and members in affected areas in any way possible on top of efforts by relief agencies.

The FPA advises telling your clients not to give in to paralysis but to take action like taking photos of damaged property, not to wait to hire contractors to make repairs, know that high deductibles may be waived, and to be patient.

Many insurors were also hit by the storm so matching claims with remuneration for damages may take time.

Otherwise, you can make a personal contribution through the designated TD Ameritrade website here.
