Over one third of men in a recent study have estimated how long their money will last during retirement. Only 29% of women have done so and women are outliving men and likely to have longer retirements.

Women may be too busy to make retirement planning a priority. Of those women who have prepared for retirement, about one-third are actively engaged in their retirement savings.

Two-thirds of women were unsure they could have the kind of retirement they want.

Only 26% were researching strategies and products that might help them reach their goals. The survey included 3000 investors between the ages of 18 and 34, of which 1900 were women.
