In stark contrast to recent articles documenting a slowdown in China’s economic growth, the International Monetary Fund issued a glowing report on the country’s future prospects.

IMF analysts project a rapid 9.5% growth in China’s economy this year, saying it will continue to be “propelled by vigorous domestic and external demand.”


The report says inflation has become less of a concern and the nation’s key challenge going forward will be to shift its economy from reliance on exports and investment to reliance on domestic consumption.
