Supreme Court Elects Not To Hear Merrill Lynch Racial Bias Suit

A long-running dispute between Merrill Lynch and many advisors of color won't be making it to the Supreme Court this year.

The judges are skipping the case in their schedule this year.

 

Other courts have warned that as a "class action" suit, the class of advisors arguing that Merrill underpaid them is too diffuse.

 

Among the allegations are that the team structure does not work for advisors of color, ultimately limiting their ability to grow their business.
